Custom Content: Build Your Own Policy-Based Courses
Turn your organization's own policies into native Nimblr micro-courses, built on the same research-backed learning format as the rest of your training.
Most organizations has its own Acceptable Use Policy, Code of Conduct. Custom Courses lets you turn your own policy documents into a Nimblr-style course your employees take alongside their regular training, without you having to build anything from scratch.
What Is Custom Content?
Custom Content turns your organization's internal policy into a native Nimblr micro-course. You provide the source material, and Nimblr builds it into the same format, style, and learning approach used across the rest of the platform, grounded in the same instructional research and psychology.
What Kind of Courses Can I Create?
In this first release, three course types are supported:
- Acceptable Use Policy (IT Policy)
- Code of Conduct
- Introduction course
An AI Policy course type is next in line to be added.
If you need a course type that isn't listed yet, there's a direct link to contact the Nimblr team from within the tool. We'll review the request and consider it for the template library, or work with you on another way to cover the need. You're also always welcome to reach out to your Customer Success Manager or email customersuccess@nimblrsecurity.com.
How Does It Work?
You provide the source document. If you have it ready, course generation, including translation, takes just a few minutes.
- The course is generated in English first, so you can review and edit it before it goes out.
- Once you're happy with it, it's translated automatically. Swedish is included from the first public release. Danish, Estonian, Finnish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, and Polish are following in September. Additional languages will roll out beyond that.
- You can swap in different images from the Nimblr Image Bank if you'd like.
- You can also upload a source document that isn't in English and it'll still be generated in English for your review.
Can I Make Changes After Publishing?
Yes. You can edit a published custom course at any time. After making edits, you'll need to retranslate the course so all language versions stay in sync with your changes.
When Will Employees Receive It?
Custom courses are prioritized in the training queue:
- A custom Introduction course is placed first in line for new users.
- Any other custom course is placed as the 4th course for organizations just getting started with Nimblr. If your first three courses are already completed, it's added as the next course up.
Can I Target It to a Specific Group or Role?
Not in this first release; group- and role-based targeting for custom courses is planned for a future iteration.
Can I Export My Course?
You can request an export of the input you provided, but a full export of the finished, published course isn't currently supported, since the final content combines Nimblr's templates with your input.
Is There a Limit on How Many I Can Create?
No. You can create as many custom courses as you'd like, at no impact to price.
Is This Available to Partners as Well as Direct Customers?
Yes, Custom Content is available to both.

Custom Course Editor will be available as a paid add-on.
