How to Remove Deleted and Out-of-Sync Users

This article explains how to manage Deleted and Out-of-Sync Users

How do I manage deleted and out-of-sync users?

To fully remove deleted and out-of-sync users, first empty your organization's Trash, then delete the users listed in the Out of Sync Users view. Both steps are required — skipping either one leaves users or the out-of-sync condition in place.

Follow these steps in order:

  1. Empty the Trash for your organization. This is a prerequisite — it must be done before finalizing deletion of any remaining out-of-sync users.
    1. Navigate to your organization's Trash view.
    2. Select all users listed in Trash.
    3. Choose the option to permanently delete or empty Trash to confirm removal.
  2. Open the Out of Sync Users view for your organization, review the listed users, and delete them from that view to remove them permanently.
    1. Navigate to your organization's Out of Sync Users view.
    2. Review the list of users displayed.
    3. Select the users you want to remove permanently.
    4. Choose the delete option to remove them from the view.

What if the out-of-sync users message still appears after emptying Trash?

If the message persists after emptying Trash, step 2 has not yet been completed. Open the Out of Sync Users view and delete the listed users to clear the condition.

Note: Users in Trash can still be restored. Once Trash is emptied, deletion is permanent.
