Licensing & Invoicing Overview
This article explains how licensing and invoicing work, including synced users and best practices to help avoid unexpected charges
We invoice based on the total number of users defined in your contract. A license is any imported or created user (email address or phone number) in your Nimblr portal.
⚠️ If the number of users exceeds your contracted license count, the additional users are invoiced for each month they exist in the Nimblr portal.
How additional licenses are invoiced
Example:
- 100 contracted licenses
- 115 licenses in use
- 15 additional licenses invoiced for that month

Synced Users & Directory Management
All users brought in through integrations are automatically counted as licenses, including users from:
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Google Workspace
When directory sync is enabled:
- Your Nimblr portal mirrors your directory.
- Users who are members of synced groups will automatically appear in the Nimblr portal.
Best practices
Manage users directly in your directory (Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace) rather than in the Nimblr portal. This helps ensure accurate invoicing and reduces the risk of unexpected charges.
- Keep synced groups clean and up to date
- Remove inactive users from your directory instead of only in the Nimblr portal
- Only assign licenses to users who should participate in the Nimblr program
