Product Release Notes
A clear overview of every major Nimblr release in 2026: what's new, and what's coming next
Microsoft Teams Notifications
In beta
Nimblr can now reach end-users through Microsoft Teams as well as email. Course invitations and reminders can be delivered straight to Teams, so end-users see them where they already are rather than only in their inbox.
- Available to both direct customers and MSP partners. To request access, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or Channel Sales Executive for partners.
Role-Based Learning
June 2026
Role-Based Learning reflects what Nimblr has always been built to do: adapt training to the individual rather than follow a fixed curriculum. This release expands that core capability, giving each end-user training matched to their actual job function and risk profile.
- During their next course, users answer two short questions about their role and responsibilities. Training adapts automatically from there, with no admin setup needed.
- Six role tracks are available: Finance, Executives, IT Helpdesk, IT Admins, HR & Payroll, and DevOps. A user can belong to more than one.
- 25 new role-specific courses launched alongside the feature, covering threats such as BEC fraud for Finance, deepfake voice scams for Executives, MFA reset fraud for IT Helpdesk, and supply chain attacks for DevOps.
- Available to both direct customers and MSP partners.
Adaptive Learning
March 2026
Courses are now matched to each group's context rather than delivered as a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Nimblr looks at a group's country, industry, compliance obligations, and the tools the organization uses, then delivers the courses most relevant to them.
- Compliance-driven content: groups can be tagged with the regulations that apply to them, including GDPR, DORA, NIS2, PCI, and HIPAA, so end-users receive training matched to their obligations.
- Content is also matched by country and industry, so the training fits the organization's region and sector.
- Available to both direct customers and MSP partners.
New Course Player
February 2026
A full upgrade to how courses look and run for end-users.
- A cleaner, more modern interface with a better experience on mobile.
- WCAG accessibility improvements, including better contrast, a cleaner layout, and accessible defaults.
- High-quality AI-driven translations.
- Branding note: some customers will notice slightly different branding. Colors were adjusted to meet accessibility standards, and courses now use a single primary color and font.
Smishing (SMS Phishing Simulations)
January 2026
Smishing is phishing sent by text message. It works just like Nimblr's email phishing simulations: an end-user receives a simulated phishing SMS, and if they click the link, they get tips on what to watch for next time, along with a follow-up courseEnd-users need a valid mobile number on file to receive smishing simulations.
- Availability depends on region: some countries have specific sending requirements, so smishing is limited to supported regions.
- Available to both direct customers and MSP partners.
- Available as a paid add-on.
This page covers updates from January, 2026 onward and is updated with each release.
